CCouture Scrubs was founded by LaWanda Crawford, MSN, FNP-C — a family nurse practitioner, breast cancer survivor and healthcare leader.
North Carolina Roots
Raised where care was everyday life.
LaWanda Crawford grew up in North Carolina in a family shaped by caregiving and service — generations of women who looked after their families and their community. That example set the standard she carries into everything CCouture does.
Nursing Leadership
Care learned at the bedside.
She built her career in nursing and went on to practise as a family nurse practitioner. She holds a master's degree in nursing leadership and management from Walden University and completed her family nurse practitioner education at Maryville University.
Survivorship
Strength carried forward.
As a breast cancer survivor, she knows what it takes to keep showing up. That experience shapes how this brand speaks, what it stands for and why the standard here is dignity first.

She founded CCouture Scrubs to give healthcare and service professionals apparel that feels comfortable, functions through demanding days and reflects the pride they bring to their work.
